Punakha Festival Tour
Punakha Festival Tour
Overview
Punakha, once the capital of Bhutan and home to the Puna Dzong (the most beautiful majestic monastery), served as the administrative center in the 17th century. The Punakha Dromchoe(festival), is a sensational historical ceremony, reenacts the 17th century battle against the Tibetan army. Local militia members, dressed in their traditional combat attire, bring to life the courageous defense that led to Bhutan's victory and time of peace. Along with the festival, this tour also allows you to discover Bhutan’s natural beauty and spiritual heritage, with excursions to hidden villages and ancient temples along the way.
This is a personalized, private tour that can be curated to your liking – whether you're a solo traveler, part of a family, or with a group of friends. We’re happy to adjust the activities, pace, and duration to match your interests and schedule. This is your trip, your way!
