The Haa Valley in the west to Trashigang in the east is separated by 403 kilometers of the Trans Bhutan Trail. A variety of hotels and top-notch campsites are available along the trail, allowing vigorous walkers to discover the natural beauty of the land. Taking the Trans Bhutan Trail through the Haa and Paro valleys hiking along pathways that were used by the inhabitants of Haa ages ago  is part of the journey. The ancient trail winds through yak farms and rhododendron and pine forests as it gently ascends alongside the lovely Haa river as it leaves the Katsho Valley to descend into Paro.
